The sinking of the "Indy", at the close of WWII, is the greatest naval disaster in U.S. history. For those who survived, it is an understatement in saying that this was an event of extraordinary endurance. I dedicate this site to my uncle, for whom I am named. I also dedicate the site to my father, who was a young Naval photographer stationed in the Philippines. He flew along with PBY pilots searching for Indy survivors and hoping to find his missing brother.
